Make plans to be present at the EIBA 2015 opening reception, which will take place on the evening of December 1, 2015.
(Note that some pre-conference activities will take place on the morning/afternoon of December 1, 2015.)
Here are the program and logistics of the EIBA 2015 Rio opening reception (subject to future confirmation):
- 16:45 (Copacabana) / 17:00 (Ipanema) – buses leave from official conference hotels to PUC-Rio
- 17:15 – 18:00 – onsite registration and pick-up of badge and conference materials
- 18:00 – 20:00 – opening address at Salão da Pastoral (on the university campus) with keynote speakers (to be announced)
- 20:00 – 21:30 – reception cocktail at the gardens of PUC-Rio
- 21:15 / 21:45 – buses leave from PUC-Rio to official conference hotels in Copacabana and Ipanema
At the reception cocktail, participants will be treated to Brazilian finger food and non-alcoholic / alcoholic beverages (including the famous caipirinha). We will offer a “caipirinha workshop” where the secrets of how to prepare this unique drink will be amusingly revealed. As you will learn, caipirinha can be made with several types of fruits. The caipirinha workshop is sure to delight the most passionate and experienced as well as the novice.
Along with the food and drinks, participants will be entertained by Brazilian rhythms. The combination of drinks and music may lead some to enthusiastically move to the floor and dance. Welcome to Brazil! A wonderful start for the lively interaction and exchange of ideas that embody the spirit of EIBA conferences.
No need to dress up formally. Casual business attire is expected. Please refer to some tips about the EIBA 2015 Rio dress code.
