PAPER DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS

As part of the pre-conference activities, there will be two Paper Development Workshops (PDWs) – one organized by the International Business Review (IBR) and the other organized by the Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS).

The purpose of the PDWs is to provide junior scholars with developmental feedback on their current research projects in international business studies.

Submission to the IBR-PDW is limited to authors who have not previously published in IBR. Likewise, submission to the JIBS-PDW is limited to authors who have not previously published in JIBS. Authors who have not yet published in either IBR or JIBS can choose to submit to either one of the two PDWs, but not to both of them, since the events will run in parallel.

Please note that each applicant can make one submission only to only one of the PDW events. (Also, note that applicants to a PDW cannot submit a thesis proposal to the doctoral events, since all these activities will run in parallel on December 1st.)

Applicants may submit to the PDW event the same manuscript (or, hopefully, an improved version of it) that they submitted to the main conference, but have to adhere to the more strict paper length of the PDW (i.e., 10,000 words, whereas paper length for the main EIBA conference is limited to 15,000 words for interactive papers and 25,000 words for competitive papers).
